Session 2: In Homer’s great work, the Odyssey, clever Penelope proposes an archery contest to challenge her suitors. Great Odysseus, a skilled archer, uses the challenge to reveal his true identity and defeat the suitors. Likewise, archery plays an important role to the Greek gods, such as Cupid and Artemis. As rising young heroes, campers will spend the afternoons honing this crucial skill as well as engaging in physical and mental challenges and games.
