As the preeminent music camp in Missouri, the UCM Summer Music Camp & Piano Institute offers young musicians an opportunity to immerse themselves in music study while having a ton of fun. Camp activities for all musicians will be anchored in private lessons (4) and dynamic mixed ensemble experience (instrumental or choral), along with a daily performance workshop tailored to their area. They will also be able to choose from a selection of classes in the areas of music theory, technology, and history. Pianists will be especially excited to see the return of our evening-length Monster Sight Reading Party (repertoire to be posted in March 2025), which has been a highlight of the camp week for three and a half decades! Students whose primary interest is electronic music composition will be able to take advantage of our world-class Music Technology faculty and facilities!

Campers will have options to work on painting technique, draw from the live model, sample a variety of printmaking processes, and gain an introduction in illustration concepts. Classes are taught by faculty and alumni in the Division of Art & Design at UCM.

Participants may study classical or jazz piano in their private lesson with a member of Belmont's nationally-recognized piano faculty. There are also group sessions for participants that include sight-reading, ensemble playing, introduction to popular styles, and approaches to learning music.

Ready to hone your skill? Volleyball participants will focus on fine-tuning their serving, passing, setting, and attacking skills. Each player will be appropriately challenged and will receive instruction on defensive and offensive systems of play while learning strategy and tactics taught through competitive situations and scrimmages, and will be instructed by Saint Mary's coaching staff and student-athletes. Additionally, an overnight option allows participants to join in fun evening activities, meet new friends, and experience life on a college campus! On the last day of camp, parents/guardians are invited to watch the final camp tournaments and award ceremonies.

We are delighted to invite you as a new or returning student in the 2025 UMSL Keyboard Camp. All activities will be in person and held on UMSL's campus (UMSL Music Building, Touhill Performing Arts Center). We have designed our camp for enthusiastic keyboard (piano, organ) students who want to find ways to make playing easier, to have more fun, and to take their playing to the next level of accomplishment. On campus dormitory accommodations are available for an extra cost.
