HIDDEN POWERS: UNCOVERING FORCES IN SHAKESPEARE, POETRY, AND PHYSICS
We will explore them by reading Shakespeare’s The Tempest, as well as poems and stories by Hopkins, Rilke, and Welty. In laboratory, we will consider Michael Faraday’s efforts to articulate and reveal the powers of electricity, magnetism, and light through experiment, description, and illustration.
