Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri

The Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri (ASEM) is the primary outreach activity of the Alliance for Astronomy, Inc (AfA) which is a Missouri non-profit corporation organized for the public benefit with the mission to promote awareness, appreciation and education in astronomy and related sciences. Volunteers with ASEM conduct several meetings and activities every month which are free and open to the public. Among these are: General Membership meeting on the second Saturday of each month from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. These meetings provide a forum for socializing with like-minded people with interests in astronomy, feature a pot-luck supper, programs ranging from quite basic to somewhat advanced. With current Covid restrictions meetings are virtual via Zoom.
